Garden project

The practice garden is designed to offer a therapeutic and participatory outdoor environment to our patients. The garden is divided into areas for fruit, vegetables, herbs, woodland plants, and flower borders. In 2020, we were the winners of a Blooming Lambeth Award in the category of Community Food Growing.

Our clinical staff are able to refer patients for social therapeutic horticulture sessions, which take place via the practice garden group. This runs twice a week, on Tuesdays 2pm to 4pm (1pm to 4pm in winter) and Thursdays (10:30am to 1:30pm).

No experience is necessary as all aspects of gardening will be taught – sowing seeds, weeding, planting, harvesting, watering etc.

The garden is also available to sit in and to be enjoyed anytime, for instance when waiting for an appointment.

If you are interested in joining the garden project, please discuss this with a clinician at the practice, talk to reception or contact us.
